Handled With Care (HwC) is an Australian based project supporting pro-sustaining psychologies.

Its objective is to create conditions of repairing, sharing and responsibly discarding. It is also to support an understanding of the necessity and value of these practices.

Our immediate interests lie in creating a platform where research, discussion and information are easily accessible and visible.

The development of projects, workshops, community programmes and academic collaborations are currently in motion. Emphasis is placed on putting care into practice through activities that empower a responsible, conscious relationship to artefacts and resources and our own capability to sustain and prevent unnecessary disposal and waste.

Part of this plan is to design strategies and services so as to rediscover our ability to maintain and embrace usage instead of ownership.
